At The Range, our in-house team of experienced gunsmiths provides professional firearm service with a personalized, consultative approach. Whether you are maintaining a duty firearm, upgrading a competition setup, or configuring a suppressor host, our goal is to ensure safe, reliable, and personally tailored equipment.
Gunsmithing Services We Offer
- New and replacement part installation and fitting
- Diagnostics, reliability troubleshooting, and repair
- Cleaning, maintenance, and restoration
- Optic and sight installation (precision mounting, leveling, and bore-sighting)
- Personalized customization consultations
- Installation and timing of muzzle devices, brakes, and suppressor mounts
- AR-platform services (upper receiver assembly, component swaps, and upgrades)
- NFA suppressor cleaning and service (Form 4/Tax Stamp verification required)
Pricing and Shop Rates
- Shop Rate: $90 per hour (billed in 1/2-hour increments)
- Minimum Bench Charge: $45 per firearm
Standalone laser bore sighting services are exempt from the minimum charge.
Pricing reflects labor and complexity and is subject to change based on the condition of the firearm and the scope of work.
Store Purchase Perks
- Free Installation is offered on most drop-in accessories purchased directly from The Range.
- 50% Off Labor is applied to installation of parts requiring fitting or tuning when purchased in-store.

- Diagnostic Evaluation & Safety Inspection: $45
- Basic Cleaning: $45 (Includes field strip, cleaning of accessible areas, and lubrication)
- Detailed Cleaning: $75 (Includes full disassembly to major components)
- Deep Cleaning: $100 (Includes detail cleaning plus ultrasonic cleaning and carbon/lead removal)
- Accessory Installation: $45
- Trigger Installation (drop-in units): $65
- Fitting or tuning required: Billed at Shop Rate ($90/hr)
- Iron Sight Installation: $45
- Red Dot Installation: $45
- Magnified Optic Installation (includes bore sight): $100
- Laser Bore Sight Only: $15
AR Platform and Specialty Services
- AR Upper Receiver Assembly: $100
- Pin & Weld Muzzle Device: $80
- Test Fire & Sight-In (ammo not included): $45
- NFA Suppressor Cleaning: Starting at $150
Copy of Tax Stamp required for all NFA items upon intake.
Warranty and Manufacturer Returns
- Customers encouraged to contact manufacturer for warranty service.
- For customers who prefer our team to manage the logistics, we offer a Manufacturer Liaison Service.
- A $50 processing fee applies to cover the administration, communication, and packaging required to facilitate the return on your behalf.
