About The Range

The area’s largest combined indoor shooting range, retail store, and training center

Our mission is to arm, train, educate, prepare and serve its members and guests in recreational and defensive focused personal protection by providing exceptional service and experiences in our state-of-the-art facility.

Range Fees

  • We allow any long guns up to 30/06, and handguns up to 50 AE.
We also allow full auto.
  • Lanes on Sundays, 10AM to 12PM are only available to members.
  • Maximum of 3 shooters per lane.
  • Minors accompanied by parent/guardian may share lane at no additional charge.

Firearm Rentals

We have over 100 firearms available for rent from pistols and revolvers to shotguns and rifles! We also sell low-cost ear and eye protection, a variety of targets, and ammunition in the range check-in area.

Due to potential insurance issues, you can only use ammunition purchased from The Range in a rented firearm.

Range Lane Reservations

Members can only reserve one lane during a desired time slot. Must make reservations 24 hours in advance. Reservations will be considered abandoned 15 minutes after scheduled start time. If you need additional time, please reach out prior to your reserved time.
While we will try our best to accommodate your requested lane and time, there are times where we will be unable to do so. Periodically we close to the public for scheduled or private events and will be unable to honor reservations during that time. We will reach out to you if there is any reason we may need to alter your reservation.

About The Range St. Louis West

The Range has a total of 20 LANES; consisting of two general purpose bays, one tactical bay and a state-of-the-art simulator. All lanes are twenty-five yards long and rated for rifle. Every lane is four feet wide so there is plenty of room for an instructor or another shooter. The six-lane bay is fully equipped with the latest and greatest targets including turning/silhouette, strobe light and more!
Safety is important to us at The Range so our air filtration and ventilation system is equally state-of-the-art. Our light and bright check-in area is equipped with wash up sink furnished with de-lead soap, a private restroom, and offers ADA accessibility.

This St. Louis Shooting Range opened in November of 2015. This was the dream of John Henderson, our managing partner, to have a quality range, retail store and training facility under one roof and located in West County. John spent almost two years searching for a municipality that would allow such a business. Ballwin caught his vision and helped guide him in the process and location of this facility. Together with financial partners The Range St. Louis West was a dream come true.
